Memorial services for Dylan Marshall Johnson, 13, of New Richland will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Christ Community Church in Waseca with a lunch to follow. The Rev. Howard Lundeen will officiate. Interment will be at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in New Richland. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Dylan passed away Monday, June 21, 2010, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester as a result of a traumatic accident, surrounded by the love of his family and friends.
Dylan Marshall Johnson was born on Jan. 16, 1997, in Algona, Iowa, the son of Adam Johnson and Shelley Ehrp. He attended New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva Schools and was about to enter eighth grade. Dylan was involved in 4-H and at school was active in band and choir. Dylan loved riding horses, hunting, fishing and anything with motors.
Survivors include his parents: Shelley and Albert Fenton of New Richland and Adam and Tiffani Johnson of Algona, Iowa; half sister, Cory Johnson; three step siblings; grandparents: Brenda Graff, Dave and Diane Fenton, Perry Johnson and Trish and Jeff Doss; great-grandparents: Howard Graff and Ken and Marion Johnson; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Dylan was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ken Martin; great-grandparents: Lenore Graff, Marshall and Patty Gove, Kenneth and Rosemary Fenton, Walter and Marceline Chizek; and great-uncle, Marvy Fenton.
Dylan took great pride in helping others and as a final way of doing so, he donated his organs so that others could live through him. 
Memorials may be sent to the Dylan Johnson Memorial Fund at the State Bank of New Richland.
