Brady and Megan Gooden, rural Alden, announce the birth of a son, Luke Fredrick Gooden, on July 19, 2010, at Methodist Hospital in Rochester. Luke weighed 2 pounds, 7.5 ounces and was 13 3/4 inches long.

Grandparents are Steven and Deanne Peterson of rural Alden, and Mike and Kim Gooden of rural Emmons. Great-grandparents are Roger and Charlotte Peterson of Alden, Charlotte and Dwaine Nelson of Albert Lea, Marian Gooden of rural Emmons and Glenn and Maureen Ruble of Albert Lea. Great-great grandmother is Eleanora Peters of Austin.

Erica Hall and Steve Thistlethwaite, of 118 5th Ave., Albert Lea, announce the birth of a son, Jared James Hall, on Aug. 31, 2010, at Albert Lea Medical Center. Jared weighed 8 pounds, 11 ounces.

Grandparents are Chip and Dawn Hall and Mike and Carol Thistlethwaite. Great-grandparents are Gloria Hall, Roger Hall, Brent Buchanan and Matilda Frances. Great-great-grandparents are Anne Studier-Chavez-Belate and Nikki Buchanan.
