Here are highlights in history for Oct. 12, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:
1984 — The Albert Lea Community Theatre started its 20th season with the presentation of “The Threepenny Opera” at the Albert Lea Civic Theatre.
1974 — Authorities were searching a swampy area between Lexington and Montgomery in LeSueur County for a man who allegedly robbed the Citizen’s State Bank of Easton.
1964 — Authorities were investigating fires at three barns on farms in the Clarks Grove area.
