Here are highlights in history for Oct. 15, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:
1987 — A scenario based on a simulated train-school bus collision at the Garfield Avenue crossing was held to train area firemen, police, sheriff’s deputies and medical personnel from Naeve Hospital.
1977 — Sirloin Stockade, 804 E, Main St., was inviting folks to enjoy a steak dinner on Mondays for $1.49 which would include salad and a drink.
1967 — The Page & Hill firm would close their Shakopee and Watertown plants and make prefabricated homes at the Albert Lea plant.
