Here are highlights in history for Oct. 27, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:
1991 — A Tribune article featured Richard and Anita Borland of rural Clarks Grove who were operating Cafe Borland in Clarks Grove.
1981 — The Albert Lea City Council approved $2 million in industrial revenue bonds for a 31,000 square foot warehouse addition on the north side of the Streater firm.
1941 — The Hayward Creamery Association celebrated its 50th anniversary.
