Rebels sweep Bulldogs

WELLS- The United South Central volleyball team looked to add to a four game winning streak on Thursday as they hosted Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton.

The Rebels (12-5 overall, 4-2 Gopher) defeated the Bulldogs 3-1 to earn their fifth straight win.

“ It was a great team effort,” USC coach Jolene Bute said. “I thought everyone on the court did a great job.”

Val Sahr led USC at the net with 14 kills and four ace blocks.

Kayla Stenzel finished with 12 kills, while Danielle Koestler recorded eight kills.

Allie Voigt also had six kills.

Erinn Hotzler had a great night at the service line as she went 20-for-21.

Marielle Schultz led the Rebels with 20 setting assists.

USC is in action on Monday at St. Clair and finishes the regular season on Tuesday at Randolph.
