Take a walk down memory lane Sunday at “30 years of Making Memories,” hosted by the Senior Resources of Freeborn County.

The show, which celebrates the 30th anniversary of Senior Resources, will include talents from across the county, including Radley Miller, Barbara Carlson, David Courey, Al Batt, Roberta and Tim Grahn, Stephanie Richter and Noreen Jensen.

“I think it will be a fun-filled afternoon,” said Marilyn Borland, Ride and Chore Services coordinator. “There will be a variety of people, a little bit of something for everybody.”

The show is from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center. Admission is $10 in advance or $12 at the door.

There are several other events for all ages going on in the area this weekend, as follows:

Friday

  • Albert Lea Parks and Recreation is hosting a free family mystery movie at the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center from 7 to 9 p.m. The movie will be rated PG and of a family nature.
  • Albert Lea High School students present the musical “Guys & Dolls” at 7:30 p.m. in the Albert Lea High School auditorium. Admission is $5 for students and $7 for adults.
  • The Albert Lea FFA Alumni is hosting the November hamburger feed from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Albert Lea American Legion. Admission is $7 per person.
  • First Lutheran Church is hosting the “Home for Christmas” concert at 7 p.m. Tickets are available for $10 in advance or $12 at the door.

Saturday

  • First Lutheran Church is hosting Holidays Ahead, featuring crafts, lefse, cookies, candy, baked goods and the “Used a Bit” shop. Coffee is from 8 to 10 a.m. and lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Bethany Hall.
  • Enjoy fresh garden produce, fall produce, baked goods, local arts, crafts and more at the Albert Lea Farmers Market from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Northbridge Mall.
  • Join the Albert Lea Township Fire Department in celebrating their newly remodeled fire hall, new attack/first responder truck and new turnout gear. The open house is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 712 E. Main St., Albert Lea. Donations will be taken at the door. Hot dogs, chips and pop will be served.
  • Albert Lea High School students present the musical “Guys & Dolls” at 7:30 p.m. in the Albert Lea High School auditorium. Admission is $5 for students and $7 for adults.
  • Oakland Lutheran Church will host a spaghetti benefit feed from 4 to 8 p.m. for Emily Ruble, age 22 of Austin, who was diagnosed with Wegener’s granulomatosis. The event includes a silent auction and music.
  • Eddie’s Bar in Albert Lea is hosting a bake sale and sloppy joe feed from noon to 5 p.m. Admission is $5 for all you can eat and all proceeds will benefit the House of Knowledge Cancer Fund.
  • The Full Draw Archery Club is hosting an open house from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. See the full draw archery range located upstairs at the Knutson Building north of the post office at 133 S. Newton St., Albert Lea. Archery equipment will be available for use with skilled instructors.

Sunday

  • First Lutheran Church will host an all-you-can-eat Dad’s Belgian Waffles breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Bethany Hall. Admission is $6 per person and children age 5 and under eat free.
  • United Methodist Church of Albert Lea is hosting the annual Albert Lea Cantori Concert from 3 to 4 p.m. Donations will be taken at the door.
  • The Alden-Conger Supermileage Team will host a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Alden-Conger School lunchroom. Pancakes, eggs, sausage, coffee, milk and juice will be served. A donation will be taken at the door.
  • The Full Draw Archery Club and youth program is hosting a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Albert Lea American Legion. Admission is $6 per person. Youth age 6 and under eat free.
