1998 — Pat Buchanan was one of the columnists being featured on the editorial page of the Tribune.
1978 — Gene R. Janssen, music minister at Albert Lea’s Grace Lutheran Church, would be the guest artist at the dedication of the new organ at Central Lutheran Church.
1958 — What was described as Freeborn County’s highest Christmas tree was erected in the central business district of Albert Lea.
