Freeways were a mess Wednesday

Multiple crashes were reported on Interstate 35 on Wednesday. None appeared to have major injuries.
According to Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office reports, the following incidents were reported:
• A truck reportedly went in the median at 8:07 a.m. Wednesday near mile 8 of I-35.
• A vehicle missed the exit and hit a pole at 8:37 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of U.S. Highway 65 and Interstate 35.
• A crash was reported at the Clarks Grove exit of Interstate 35.
• A vehicle rollover was reported at 12:14 p.m. near mile 7 of northbound I-35.
• A vehicle went in the median at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday near mile 8 — the south Albert Lea exit — of northbound I-35.
• Two semi rollovers were reported 4 at 8:57 p.m. near mile 19 of I-35.
• A vehicle reportedly went into the ditch at 9:05 p.m. Wednesday near mile 24 of southbound I-35.
• A semi reportedly jackknifed on I-35 near Exit 11 at 11:55 p.m. Wednesday, blocking both lanes of southbound traffic. Exit 11 is the truck stop exit.
The Minnesota State Patrol writes the reports for crashes on the freeways; however, no further information was available on its media website.
Minor crashes in Albert Lea
Three minor crashes were reported in Albert Lea Wednesday. No one was injured. There were also several instances of people getting stuck in the snow on the reports.
Forged checks reported
Copies of four forged checks were reported at Nelson’s Market Place at 12:31 p.m. Wednesday, according to police.
