Here are highlights in history for Dec. 6, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:
1993 — Two photos in the Tribune featured the slope near Lakeview Elementary School that was being used by area children as a snowy slide for sleds and metal saucers.
1983 — The Korn Krib Tavern at the Albert Lea Inn was featuring a drink called the Cornhusker. This drink was a blend of hot chocolate and amoretto topped with whipped cream and a cherry.
1973 — Albert Lea Community Theater’s production of “Death of a Salesman” opened for a four-night run. This play was directed by Marna Warner.
