Here are highlights in history for Dec.. 30, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:
1992 — Katie Koziolek, a pork producer home economist, gave Tribune readers instructions and recipes for making three pork entrees.
1982 — About 5,000 acres of corn not harvested in Freeborn County was buried by snow and wouldn’t be harvested until spring.
1962 — The Wells High School boys’ basketball team defeated the Staples High School team with a score of 67-48 in the Albert Lea Invitational Tournament at the Southwest gym.
