Sara Skrlin completed her residency in anesthesiology in June at Oregon Health Science University Hospital, Portland, Ore. She is currently employed there as an anesthesiologist.

Skrlin is a 1997 Albert Lea High School valedictorian graduate. She received her bachelor of science degree with magna cum laude honors from Carleton College, Northfield, and graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School.

She is the daughter of Dave and Sally Skrlin; granddaughter of Bob and Bernice Moreau, Albert Lea; and Theresa Cowdin, Janesville.
