HARTLAND — A school bus was involved in a fender bender near the intersection of 730th Avenue and 300th Street at 4:21 p.m. Tuesday.
Chuck Malepsy of the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office said no one was injured.
“It was very minor,” Malepsy said.
New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva Superintendent Kevin Wellen said five students were on the bus when it was clipped by a semi-truck.
“All the students went home and were fine,” Wellen said.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Adam David Vesely, 26, came over the hill near the intersection and saw a school bus trying to cross the road. The bus appeared to be spinning because the roads were icy.
Vesely hit the rear section of the bus on the driver’s side.
The bus driver was listed as Robert Leonard Peterson, 69.
He said the bus was driveable and nothing was towed from the scene.
