Window broken at Halverson

Albert Lea police responded to a criminal damage property report at 10:13 Monday at Halverson Elementary. According to police reports, a window was broken and an insulation panel was moved, but they do not believe entry was gained. Damages were reported at $125.

Car stolen

Albert Lea police responded to a vehicle theft report on Monday. A white Ford Taurus was reported stolen from the Walgreens parking lot. According to police reports, the keys were inside the vehicle at the time it was stolen. The car was found at 11:04 p.m. Monday at Hawthorne School.

8 car crashes

Local law enforcement officials responded to eight car crashes on Monday. No injuries were reported in any of the incidents.

A car crash was reported at 4:36 p.m. Monday at I-90 and Bridge Avenue. According to Freeborn County Sheriff’s reports, there were no damages.

Albert Lea police responded to a traffic crash at 9:43 a.m. Monday at the intersection of West Front Street and First Avenue South. At 2:02 p.m. Monday, police responded to a traffic crash at the intersection of Garfield Avenue and East Hawthorne Street. A two-vehicle crash was reported at 3:35 p.m. at County Road 46 and Happy Trails Lane. Another crash was reported to police at 3:40 p.m. at East Main Street and St. Thomas Avenue.

Another crash was reported Monday at 5:55 p.m. at the intersection of East Main Street and South Newton Avenue. Police reports state that two vehicles collided.

At 6:10 p.m. Monday, police responded to a traffic crash at North Broadway and Water Street. A vehicle slid off the road into a ditch at 8:09 p.m. Monday at the intersection of East Main Street and Prospect Avenue.

According to police reports, there were no injuries in any of these incidents.

Oven fire

Albert Lea police and the Albert Lea Fire Department responded to a fire at 5:36 p.m. Monday at 1007 Maplehill Dr. Reports state there was a fire in the oven. Upon arrival, the fire was out but there was a lot of smoke, and the fire department ventilated the house.

Snowmobiles cause damage

Albert Lea police responded to a criminal damage property report at 5:04 p.m. Monday at 1002 Martin Road. It was reported that snowmobilers drove through hedges at the property.

Fuel stolen

Freeborn County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a theft report at 10:02 p.m. Monday at 84895 320th St., Ellendale. The property owner said diesel fuel and fuel pumps for 500 and 1,000 gallon fuel tanks were missing. A couch was also reported stolen.
