Advisory committee members wanted

The Shell Rock River Watershed District Board is looking for members for its 2011 Advisory Committee.
Watershed officials say the role of the committee is to oversee the projects conducted by the watershed district and give input.
The state mandates that the district must have at least five members on the committee, but the Shell Rock River Watershed District is looking for seven.
Officials say members with different backgrounds make the best advisors.
The district is looking to get more input from the community on which direction it should take when facing major decisions.
People interested in becoming a member of the committee must submit a letter of interest to the watershed district by February 28, 2011.
The advisory committee members will be appointed by the board at its Annual Meeting on March 10 at 7 p.m.
