GLENVILLE — Ann Rysavy scored 20 points, while Nyabang Diang recorded 16 points as the Lyle/Pacelli Athletics girls’ basketball team defeated the Glenville-Emmons Wolverines 63-45 Monday in Glenville.

The Athletics (6-4 overall, 6-2 Southeast Conference) forced the Wolverines into 33 turnovers and held Glenville-Emmons( 6-2, 6-2 SEC) to 31 percent shooting from the floor.

“Lyle came out and they out-hustled us and outplayed us,” G-E coach Lisa Ziebell said. “They came out and wanted the game and played great defense.”

The turning point of the game came in the second half when the Athletics held a two point lead at 34-32. Lyle-Pacelli then went on a 17-3 run to break the game open.

Kalli Van Ryswyk led the Wolverines with 16 point and 13 rebounds, While Kailey Davis had 10 points and five rebounds for Glenville-Emmons.

The Wolverines play again on Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran.
