LAKE MILLS, Iowa– Lindy Pins scored 14 points, but it wasn’t enough as the Mason City Newman Knights girls’ basketball team defeated the Lake Mills Bulldogs 58-47 Saturday in Lake Mills.

“We played better on offense tonight,” Lake Mills coach Beth Van Roekel said. “But we had three starters in foul trouble and that hurt us tonight.”

Along with Pins, Sarah Hengesteg and Catherine Adams both recorded nine points.

Kelci Larson added a team high seven rebounds.

Lake Mills is back in action on Tuesday as they host West Hancock.
