1993 — Jerry Qualley of Owatonna portrayed the role of Don Quizote in the Albert Lea Community Theatre production of “Man of La Mancha” at the Civic Theatre.

1983 — The musical group known as D.R.A.T. would be appearing at Dads in the Skyline Mall. One of this eating establishment’s specials was a steak and complimentary wine for $3.99.

1973 — Gerry Gehling was elected as Albert Lea’s Outstanding Young Man by the local Jaycees at their annual Bosses Night Banquet.
