Tractors a loss in fire at machine shed

WELLS — The Wells and Minnesota Lake fire departments responded to a fire Monday morning six miles northeast of Wells in which tractors were damaged.

No one was injured.

Wells Fire Chief Mike Pyzick said an engine block heater caught fire at the Neil Grunzke place, 24226 600th Avenue. Pyzick said it caused damage to two or three late-model tractors.

He said there was minimal damage to the metal machine shed in which the tractors were parked.

Firefighters were at the location for 90 minutes, Pyzick said. The firefighters were assisted by the Wells Police Department.
