The Glenville-Emmons girls’ basketball team opened a 10-0 lead Thursday against the LeRoy-Ostrander Cardinals but to fight to finish on top 36-33 in Le Roy.

The Wolverines (6-1, 6-1 Southeast) made 1-of-6 free throws in the finals minutes and 6-of-18 for the game.

Kalli Van Ryswyk led the Wolverines with 10 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks. Kailey Davis scored 11 points and had eight steals.

The Wolverines play again at 6 p.m. tonight against Mabel-Canton (1-5, 1-3 Southeast) in Glenville.
