Chamber hosting energy-efficiency workshop

The Albert Lea-Freeborn County Chamber of Commerce Green Committee is hosting an Energy Efficiency and Recycling Workshop from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 3 at the Moose Lodge in Albert Lea.
Topics will include energy audits and improvement services, grants for energy efficiency, tax incentives and rebates, plus others. Presenters include Sharon Schriever, executive director of SE Minnesota Recycling, a representative of the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, Jay Pratz of Freeborn-Mower Cooperative Services, Lisa Noty of the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Jeffrey Jackson, branch manager of Crescent Electric.
Greg Kaelberer, site manager of Bent Tree Wind Farm, will be the featured lunch speaker.
Cost to attend is $15 per person, which includes coffee and rolls, break and lunch. Two or more per company can attend for $13.50 each.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the program begins at 9 a.m. Reservations are required. Please contact the chamber at 373-3938 to make reservations. Registration deadline is March 1.
