Members and guests of the Ladies Aid of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Albert Lea gathered in Luther Hall on Jan. 13 for the annual potluck dinner.

The Rev. Wayne Halvorson conducted the devotion on “Celebrating Christmas All Year Long.” Several Christmas carols were sung accompanied by Betty Patterson.

President Maren Ring presided over the business meeting. She thanked all who helped serve at the funeral for baby Alice Schlaak.

The secretary’s and treasurer’s reports were read and approved.

Thank you notes were read from Nora Hendrickson, Danielle Efraimson, Barb Chrz, Ariine Walker, Cordelia Olson, Shirley Fogerty, Eva Fredrickson, the family of Sally Holmen, Good Samaritan Center for the donation toward residents’ Christmas gifts, St. Peter Regional Treatment Center for the Christmas gifts, the Evangelical Lutheran Synod and Thoughts of Faith for the donations toward missions.

A motion was made and carried to accept the following slate of officers for 2011: President Maren Ring, Vice President Sandy Pieper, Secretary Betty Patterson and Treasurer Angie Nelson. An appreciation was extended to the officers who have served in the previous year.
