Here are highlights in history for Feb. 15, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:

1984 — A Tribune photo featured Inga (Erickson) and Cornelius Sybilrud who were married on a snowy day in 1912 and were celebrating their 72nd birthday.

1974 — Linden Olson of Worthington was the sweepstakes winner at the Minnesota State Spring Barrow Show in Albert Lea. His winning barrow weighed 240 pounds.

1954 – Bill Ankoviak, a player for the Albert Lea Packers baseball team, was named to be the team’s new manager.
