Here are highlights in history for Feb. 20, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:

1992 — A full page in the Tribune under the foods category had a full dozen recipes for popcorn flavors to liven up winter days and nights.

1982 — This was the 24th season for the Albert Lea Area Opera Group. At their annual dinner held at the Kahler Motel, the members decided to sponsor a bus trip on May 21 to see the opera, “Norma,” at Northrup Auditorium, Minneapolis.

1962 — The Albert Lea High School wrestling team won its fifth consecutive District II title. The Tigers would have 10 wrestlers advancing to the regional tournament.
