Rebels send four to state

BLUE EARTH– Dylan Herman, Dustin Dylla and Tony Willette all claimed individual championships at their respective weights on Saturday, while Brady Thisius claimed a second place finish as those four will represent the United South Central Rebels wrestling team at the Class A state tournament this week in St.Paul.
Herman cruised through his bracket at 112 pounds as he recorded two falls and earned a 4-2 overtime win over Zack Kuhns in the championship.
Dylla recorded two falls on his way to the championship, he then recorded a major decision over Jacob Staloch from NRHEG 11-2 to capture the title and win the 140 pound weight class.
Willette recorded a fall in the second round, then scored a decision to get into the championship at 285 pounds. Willette then earned a 10-6 decision over Crosby from MCW to capture the 285 pound weight class and earn a trip to state.
Thisius earned a decision and a fall to make the championship at 189 pounds as he took on NRHEG’s Seth Petranek. Petranek earned a 5-0 win to take the 189 pound weight class.
