The Glenville-Emmons boys’ basketball team left little doubt Friday about who is the best team in the Southeast Conference.
The Wolverines raced out to a 41-21 lead in the first half and controlled the entire game in a 68-56 win over the Houston Hurricanes. The Wolverines and Hurricanes were tied atop the conference before the game — now the Wolverines control their destiny toward their first Southeast Conference championship in school history.
Andrew Lau scored a team-high 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Returning from a season-long injury, Peter Hansen scored 17 points. Tyler Woodside had 15 points and 13 rebounds.
