You Can Help

The following are some of the volunteer opportunities currently open in Freeborn County. If you can help with any of them or would like to volunteer for others, call Pat Stumme, Retired and Senior Volunteer Program director, at Senior Resources, 377-7433.

Mentors: Community Mentor Connection needs male mentors for boys at risk. This could work well for couples as an opportunity to give back in our community changing a child’s life. Spend an hour or two a week sharing positive role models with a child. Contact Carolyn Smith at 877-232-8399 or starsforkids@yahoo.com.

You can help build your bones: Participate in a Bone Builders Group twice a week and help yourself. Call RSVP at 377-7433 for a schedule. Choose from these Bone Builder Sites in Albert Lea and across Freeborn County: Ascension Lutheran Church, Bancroft Creek Estates, Grace Lutheran Church, Senior Center, Senior Court, The Village Coop., Alden City Hall, Clarks Grove Baptist Church, Emmons Legion, Freeborn Legion, Glenville City Hall, Hayward Lutheran Church.
