Here are highlights in history for March 6, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:
1988 — The Albert Lea Art Center’s Winter Show was being held at the Skyline Mall. John Skare of Bricelyn won the Best of Show ribbon for his artistry.
1978 — There were 78 cast members in the musical “A Common Feeling,” which would be presented in Wells. This musical was based on the life of Harry Gillam, the local music man.
1968 — Albert Lea High School Tiger gymnasts Reid Knudson, Dave Medd, Bill Moen, John Sumner and Dave Vandegrift would be going to the state tournament.
