Here are highlights in history for March 20, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:

1984 — Osco Drug Store and Spurgeons announced they would be expanding their stores into the portion of the Skyline Mall formerly occupied by Montgomery Ward. (Note: This never became a reality.)

1974 — The Albert Lea City Council was considering a proposal to purchase the former Lea College Field House west of the city. (Note: This building is now the City Arena.)
