Westbound East Main Street remains closed today starting at the junction with Garfield Avenue. Barriers limit entrance to the roadway.

A second set of barriers block full the roadway at Katherine Street.

Barriers block eastbound traffic on East Main Street starting at Newton Avenue.

The street is closed due to flooding until further notice from the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

However, it was clear on Thursday in and around Albert Lea that the some of the high water from rains earlier this week had drained. The flood warning in effect for Freeborn County remains in place until 3:30 p.m. today.

That same flood warning has lifted in Faribault, Waseca, Martin and Mower counties and for most of Steele County.The flood warning for Worth County, Iowa, also has lifted.
