The Lens & Shutter Photography Club

The Lens & Shutter Photography Club held its Feb. 17 meeting at Rofshus Precision Machine. There were 14 members in attendance.
February’s contest category was “Churches.” Judges were Terri Simonson and Rachelle Fliehman. Guest judge was Norma Raymond.
Members receiving competition awards were:
Bernadine Peterson, first place for “Church In Winter.”
Carol Haroldson, second place for “Our Ancestors’ Church.”
Dustin Petersen, third place for “City Cathedral.”
Honorable mentions were awarded to Terri Simonson, Bernadine Peterson and Cheryl Herold.
Merit awards were awarded to Dustin Petersen, Barb Rofshus, Darcy Sime, Linda Eisterhold, Dave Sime and Cheryl Herold.
A selection of February’s competition entries, including winning pictures will be displayed in the lobby of the Farmers State Bank, 1452 W. Main St., Albert Lea, this month. Each month there is a new display of club pictures at the bank.
Results were not yet available for the N4C Print and Digital categories.
The program was a photo essay presented by John and Linda Eisterhold, previewing a pictures-and-music DVD for an upcoming N4C travel log competition.
The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. March. 17 at the Rofshus Precision Machine Building, 1701 Margaretha Ave. Anyone with an interest in photography is welcome to attend. Competition category will be night photography. The program will be election of club officers for the 2011-12 club year.
