Samantha Folven and Shawn Dolsen, of Emmons, were married at 9:30 a.m. March 21, 2011, in Forest City, Iowa, in a double-ring ceremony.

Parents of the bride are Ray and Pam Folven, of Emmons. Parents of the groom are Ben Dolsen and Tammy Ashton of Freeborn.

Grandparents of the bride are Dale and Kathy Brekke, of Albert Lea. Great-grandfather of the bride is Alfred Schlarbaum, of Albert Lea.

Samantha is a graduate of Albert Lea High School.

Shawn is a graduate of Alden. He is employed at Home Solutions and is in the Minnesota Army National Guard.

A reception was held following the ceremony at their home with immediate family.

A renewal of vows will be performed in 2012, upon the return of Shawn, as he will be deployed with the Minnesota National Guard in May 2011.
