Outdoors ministry conference to be held on April 9

A Trail to Adventure Conference will be held from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on April 9 at the United Methodist Church in Wells. The conference is designed to instruct the pastors and lay leaders on how to reach outdoorsmen where they are. Gerry Caillouet, host and producer of the internationally syndicated Christian radio and Internet radio program “God’s Great Outdoors” will be the adventure guide.

Caillouet will teach from his 18 years of assorted outdoor ministry experiences. The conference will also feature Ray Howell, a professional archer, Tom Rakow, the founder of the Christian Deer Hunters Association, Phil Driver, the founder of the Special Youth Challenge of northwest Iowa, Dan Ryks, of River Dan’s Guide Service, and Chuck and Diane Thome for Rushing Wind Fishing Retreats from Ontario, Canada.

Door prizes for the event include a Mathews bow, Genesis bow, wildlife prints and more. The conference costs $50 per person, plus $5 for lunch. Group rates are available. The cost includes a DVD teaching series, a 222-page printing manual, field team kit and other outdoor outreach Evangelistic ministry items.
