Here are highlights in history for April 19, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:
1984 — Easter Sunday Smorgasbord at Club 90, located near the Alden Exit on Interstate 90, would cost $5.50 each, children under 10 for $3, and children under 2 would be free.
1974 — The Albert Lea High school boys track team tied 71-71 with the team from Edina East in a meet held at Hammer Field.
1954 — Lyle Westrum made the first tee shot to start the new season for her Albert Lea Country Club.
