Here are highlights in history for April 28, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:

1986 — A Tribune editorial commented on the search for a safe solution for the disposal of solid waste. One suggested solution was to work with area cities to solve this major problem.

1975 — Teens and telephones would be featured in the Albert Lea High School production of the play, “Bye, Bye Birdie.”
