Paul and Karent Kortz, of Peoria, Ill., announce the birth of their daughter, Clare Bernadette Kortz, on May 11, 2011, at Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Ill. Clare weighed 5 pounds 11 ounces and was 18 inches long. She joins siblings: Mariana, Thomas, Victoria, Benjamin and Sophia.

Grandparents are Jerry and Benita Kortz, of Albert Lea, and Gwen Tallyn, of Peoria Heights, Ill.

Zachary and Stephanie Gordon announce the birth of a son, Alexander Zachary on May 9, 2011, in Albert Lea. Alexander weighed 8 pounds 3 ounces and was 20 inches long. He joins siblings Raiden, Kaleb and Vayda.

Grandparents are Caryn Ringoen, of Albert Lea, Mike and Judy Gordon, of Albert Lea, and Mark and Bonnie Ringoen, of Glenville.

Great-grandma is Ruby Ringoen of Owatonna.
