A rental truck called Mark Dayton’s Soup Truck was parked Tuesday during the lunch hour on Fountain Street in front of Albert Lea City Hall. Driver Rick Brock commented on how picturesque the spot was, with Fountain Lake, blossoming trees and people walking by. The truck is sponsored by conservative policy group Minnesota Majority. On it are the words “Because higher taxes will mean fewer jobs.” The website is www.souptruck.net. Other cities it visited Tuesday were Austin, Fairmont and St. James. -- Tim Engstrom/Albert Lea Tribune
