The seminar is sponsored through a collaborative project with the Albert Lea Parkinson’s Support Group, Struthers Parkinson’s Center and the Parkinson Association of Minnesota.
The National Parkinson Foundation estimates that one in 100 Americans older than 60 and two in 100 older than 70 are diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. About 1 million Americans live with the disease, 50,000 new patients each year. About 15 percent of diagnosed patients are younger than 50.
