Albert Lea Post 56 beats Austin 13-3

AUSTIN — The Albert Lea American Legion Post 56 baseball team beat Austin 13-3 Thursday at Dick Seltz Field in Austin.
Tigers starting pitcher Cole Sorenson allowed one earned run and struck out 10 batters in six innings, and went 3-for-5 with two RBIs.
The Tigers knocked Austin’s starting pitcher, Jordan Lysne, out of the game after one inning. Lysne gave up four earned runs and walked five.
The Tigers added five runs in the seventh inning after Makael Lunning hit a two-run triple.
J.T. Bellrichard went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and three runs scored for the Tigers.
The Tigers played in the Snake Pit Tournament in Burnsville over the weekend and lost to Eden Prairie 6-0 and Minnetonka 4-3 on Friday. The Tigers then beat Oakdale 9-6 on Saturday.
