Here are highlights in history for June 10, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:
1992 — A $5,000 donation from the Albert Lea Eagles Club would provide lifeguards for the city beach at the west end of Johnson Street for the summer months.
1982 — Two bicycle riders from Idaho stopped in Albert Lea. The two men were on a vacation trip to Wisconsin to visit relatives, Then they planned to ride on to Maine.
1962 — Tom Butler was named as the outstanding member of the Albert Lea Junior Chamber of Commerce (the Jaycees),
