1989 — Ralph Peterson, an Albert Lea attorney, was preparing to become president of the Minnesota State Bar Association for a one-year term.
1979 — One of the films held over for a second big week at the Broadway Twin Theatre was “Good Guys Wear Black.”
1969 — Pollyanne Ball, Miss Albert Lea, won the swimsuit competition at the Miss Minnesota Pageant.
