Here are highlights in history for June 20, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:
1984 — A Children’s Fair was being planned and would be held in Central Park. In case of rain, this event would be moved to Marian Hall at St. Theodore’s Church.
1964 — About 5,000 people attended the Freeborn County Dairy Days in Alden where a 75-unit parade was held.
1954 — E.T. Christian and O. Russell Olson were candidates for election to serve as Freeborn County Attorney. Rudolph Hanson decided not to run for reelection to this post.
