Here are highlights in history for June 21, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:

1985 — Two Mankato State University seniors were local summer interns in law enforcement. Michelle Williamson was with the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office and Ken McDonald was with the Albert Lea Police Department.

1975 — Tom Speltz and Harold Knutson announced they would be retiring from the School Board 241 Board of Education.
