Here are highlights in history for June 22, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:
1986 — Dr. Leon Steiner announced he would be a candidate for election to serve the 2nd Ward on the Albert Lea City Council. He had served three terms in this position.
1976 — Edward Czerwien was named director of livestock at the Albert Lea plant of Wilson & Co. He replaced Dennis DeWitt who was transferred to the beef department.
1966 — School District 241 Mobile Science Laboratory went on the road for the first time.
