Milbert (Slim) and Linda Fix, of Aberdeen, S.D., and Elane Wallace, of New Richland, announce the engagement of their children, Alicia Fix and Kurt Wallace.

The bride’s grandparents are Paul and Alice Hopfinger, of Aberdeen, S.D.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of Aberdeen Central High School and a 2004 graduate of Lake Area Technical Institute in Watertown, S.D., with an Associate of Applied Science degree in physical therapy.

The groom is a 1994 graduate of New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva High School and a 2000 graduate of Dakota State University, Madison, S.D., with a bachelor’s degree in secondary education with an emphasis in biology. He is currently a firefighter for the City of Albert Lea.

A wedding is planned for Sept. 3, 2011, at First Lutheran Church, of Albert Lea.
