Here are highlights in history for July 15, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:
1984 — About 120 Cub Scouts participated in a two-day camping event at Albert Lea’s Bancroft Bay Park.
1974 — More than 700 people participated in the 13th annual Albert Lea Art Festival held in Central Park.
1944 — The Pilot’s Breakfast at the Albert Lea Airport based on Civil Air Patrol activities resulted in a gathering of 20 aircraft from the area.
