The Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring a “bags” tournament at the Big Island Rendezvous Barbecue event on Saturday. Registration is at 8:30 a.m. Pool play is from 9 to 11 a.m. Bracket tournament will start at 1 p.m. It is $20 per team which consist of two people. There is a limit of 30 teams. Registrations are being taken by the Parks and Recreation Department at the City Arena. You may also register online www.cityofalbertlea.org. The 4th annual Big Island Barbecue is held at the Freeborn County fairgrounds the fourth weekend in August to support the Big Island Rendezvous Education Days.
