1988 — One of the special features on the Tribune’s food page was “packing pointers for perfect picnics.” These included dinner in a basket and easy cleanup.

1968 — A fish sandwich and a soft drink were on sale at Dog ‘n Suds on East Main Street.

1948 — Schools in Freeborn County would be educating 10,000 pupils, according to a Tribune news report.
