Here are highlights in history for Aug. 26, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:
1991 — One of the questions for Heloise, a Tribune advice columnist, was based on how to get rid of the musty smells in old books.
1981 — A Tribune article said CBS televsion had seven of the top 10 shows. The top televsion show that year was “The Jeffersons.”
1961 — Zenta Krieves, a native of Latvia, would be teaching Russian and German language classes at Albert Lea High School.
