LAKE MILLS, Iowa — The Lake Mills volleyball team moved up in the state rankings Wednesday for the first time this season.
The Bulldogs (29-0), who began the season ranked No. 3 in Class 2A, jumped to No. 2 following its North Iowa Conference championship-clinching win Tuesday over Forest City.
The Bulldogs leapfrogged Grundy Center (23-1), who fell to No. 4 following its first loss of the season. Dike-New Hartford (26-2) moved up a spot to No. 3.
The Bulldogs and top-ranked Western Christian (23-0) are the only two undefeated teams left in any class. Western Christian beat Lake Mills in the state finals last season and have been equally as dominant this year, dropping only three sets all season.
